nrw.co.uk offers a Text-based and a Graphics-based Navigation System. If you have a slow connection to the Internet, an old browser or if you still use Windows 3.1, we strongly recommend that you use the text-based navigation system.
When you log on to www.nrw.co.uk, the first page (our central home page) loads slowly because it contains several image files. One of these, Toriiph.gif, is rather large (91K). However, the Website becomes fully operational even if the images are not yet loaded.
For the text-based navigation system, go to the main menu list and click on Perry Rhodan, Peacelord of the Universe. This is the beginning of our text-based navigation system where all the pages load quickly. The pages are simple Ascii text and contain very few graphics, except for the advertisements at the end of each page.
You can go there as soon as the menu options appear at the central home page. You do not need to wait until Toriiph.gif and the other images have been loaded.
That's all. It's that simple. From the index page at http://www.nrw.co.uk/perry-us, you will be able to access most of the information available at nrw.co.uk without having to wait for a long time until all the graphic images have been loaded.
Another excellent option is to check out the update information right here at the LOG ON! Help pages.
You will find the names and URLs of all recently updated pages. You can go directly to these pages. You do not need to wait until the graphics interface of the nrw Perry Rhodan Website has loaded. If you are a regular visitor, and if you know what you're looking for (especially reviews or other current stuff), you can access the information that YOU want swiftly, efficiently and effortlessly. It's available for your convenience by means of a single mouse click.
If you prefer our graphics-based navigation system, please go to the central home page at www.nrw.co.uk and click on the image of our little friend Pucky. He is one of the most popular figures in the Perry Rhodan series. The peacelord of the universe picked him up in issue # 12 The Rebels of Tuglan, written by Walter Ernsting.

WARNING: The index page of our Graphics-based Navigation System takes about three and a half minutes to load. Http://www.nrw.co.uk/perry-de/index.htm consist of more than fifty objects, including a picture of the distant galaxy NGC 604 which is another whopping 92 kilobytes.

By the way: one of the recent Perry Rhodan Hardcover Editions "Das Tabora" includes a nice episode where Tatcher a Hainu visits the Himalya mountains in a quest for a rare Buddhistic amulet. So there's a direct connection between Perry Rhodan and Tibetan Buddhism ;-))

Die neue Homepage von nrw.co.uk ist erst seit dem 14.1.1999 in Betrieb.
Schwerpunktmässig werden derzeit die Perry Rhodan Seiten und das Story Archiv ausgebaut. Die Library ist bislang ein gemischtes Story-Archiv. Dort finden sich sowohl Perry Rhodan Fan Geschichten (in deutsch), die Abenteuer des Raumschiffs MAGNUS ERIKSSON (auch in deutsch) als auch diverse STAR TREK Fan Fiction (alles in Englisch). Die Autorinnen von Sailaway und Snowbound haben ihre Zustimmung erteilt, so daß beide Stories inzwischen hier online zu lesen sind.
Die Space Links und die Hot Topics gehen voraussichtlich erst im Mai in Betrieb. Quark's Casino wird voraussichtlich frühestens im Juni eröffnet.

nrw.co.uk arbeitet partnerschaftlich zusammen mit dem Science Fiction Club Nordrhein-Westfalen. Auf vielen Seiten hier bei nrw.co.uk begegnet Ihr dem Logo vom "Virtuellen SF-Okular". Das ist die Online-Fassung des bewährten Fanzines "SF-Okular", das jeden Monat unter der Chefredaktion von Michael Falkenstein erscheint und übrigens weltweit für wenig Geld auch per Snail Mail abonniert werden kann.
Yasuyuki Shimizu hat uns erlaubt, einige seiner Bilder auf unseren Webseiten zu verwenden. Wollt Ihr mal auf seiner Home Page vorbeischauen?

Dies ist ein Link zu einer Radio-Station in Australien. Das funktioniert wirklich! Wer sich den Real Player besorgt hat (Reklame für Real Player gibt's auch hier irgendwo im Story-Archiv), der kann auf diese Weise bequem Pop-Musik aus Australien hören. Ich finde das große Klasse!!!
