Willkommen

Welcome to the English Pages of nrw.co.uk. You are on Page
1 of our text-based
navigation system.
Perry Rhodan is one of the greatest phenomenons in the
history of Science Fiction.
The series was started on September 8th, 1961. The first story
was written by Karl-Herbert Scheer.
He is very famous for his excellent description of high-tech warfare. It is little known
that K. H. Scheer returned to the series in 1986. He wrote a number of excellent
adventures in the context of TARKAN
and the Cantaro invasion.
One of these novels, "CORDOBA
ruft BASIS", was reprinted in Germany only a few weeks ago. To find out more
about K. H. Scheer and his novels, please click here:

Never heard of Perry Rhodan before?
Here's your chance to read a few pages from one of the original novels, written by Karl-Herbert Scheer.

What do I like about Perry Rhodan? He takes us along his journeys into deep space. The action is set in really distant galaxies. No other sci-fi series comes even close. In STAR TREK, the U.S.S. Voyager is ridiculously slow. Voyager needs seventy years to cross a mere 70 000 light years. Perry Rhodan is very different from that. He visited the Andromeda nebula in issue # 250, and since then, he has seen countless other galaxies, too. Reading Perry Rhodan gives me a feeling of the greatness of the universe. To illustrate this feeling, I have included a picture of the distant galaxy NGC 604 on the index page of our graphics-based navigation system. Most of the people who read Science Fiction actually like astronomy, too. You will also find the cover of the very first Perry Rhodan book. If you can spend three and a half minutes of download time, select more Perry Rhodan pages at the end of this page, or go back to the nrw.co.uk Home Page and click on the image of our little friend Pucky.
Pucky is one of the most popular figures in the series. Perry Rhodan picked him up in issue # 12 The Rebels of Tuglan, written by Walter Ernsting. In Germany, the cute little fellow is widely known as Gucky. Actually, Perry didn't pick him up... The story was a little bit different. For our German readers, the correct number is "18" - "Die Rebellen von Tuglan". Nowodays, the story is contained in Book Three of the Hardcover Edition, "Der Unsterbliche".
Issue # 2000 is coming soon!
Keep up to date with developments in DaGlaush and other distant galaxies:
nrw.co.uk tries to keep you up to date with the latest stories from the Perry Rhodan Universe. If you want to read the latest available review of the current Perry Rhodan novels, just click here. As soon as a new review is published here at nrw.co.uk, we'll replace the file http://www.nrw.co.uk/perry-us/newperry.htm with the latest stuff. I'm afraid that most of these reviews are in German, but if we have a current review in English, then we will post the English version for your convenience. So it's allways worth checking out ;) Usually, the new review should arrive here at nrw.co.uk in the night from Friday to Saturday. We recommend that you check our Website for new reviews every Saturday afternoon.

If you click on the Next button, you will be hyperlinked to the next English page of the text-based navigation system. However, at the moment, this page is not yet available. This site is still under construction.
The rest of this page is in German. To shorten your download times and to conserve Internet bandwidth, we have omitted the remainder of the page from the file perry-us/index.htm.
If you want to read the full text, please go to http://www.nrw.co.uk/perry-de/index.htm
